The brethren from the Lodge of St Cuthberga have been meeting in Wimborne since 1853. We are the 6th oldest Lodge in the Province of Dorset and the most historic lodge in Wimborne.
We are a very friendly, dynamic and approachable Lodge which has a great reputation for tradition and ritual.
With a diverse membership demographic that includes brothers from a variety of occupations and a wide range of ages we are one of the most regularly attended lodges with visiting members coming from all over Dorset just to see how we do things. We are fully supportive of any member wishing to progress their knowledge in Freemasonry or to pass through the Offices of
We have young members with families who work full time and, of course older, retired members who just love to mentor their fellow brethren. Our wives and partners have their own dining and social group who call themselves ‘The Wimborne Witches’ and meet on the same night as our Lodge meetings. This way our Ladies get to know each other, make friends and feel part of the St Cuthberga family. We hold several social events ranging from our traditional Ladies Night to a summer BBQ to black tie dinners, horse racing evenings and rafting on the River Stour, all of which contribute significantly to our charitable giving.
At St Cuthberga there are no hidden agendas, just good men trying to make themselves better whilst serving the community at large and enjoying themselves at the same time.
We meet on the first Monday of the month, except in August.
