East Dorset Heritage Trust is a community educational charity originally founded in Wimborne in 1987 and based in stunning Grade II Listed Allendale House since 2001. It’s the place to learn about our history and heritage, to take a course to improve your French, Spanish, Tapestry, IT skills, Creative Writing or Art History and meet new friends along the way. How about trying Otago or maybe even Pilates to help improve your general well-being? There is a lot going on through its doors, so why not pop in and have a look? The Georgian house itself is a beautiful building with lots of elegant, light and airy rooms for hire which are the perfect place for training workshops and seminars or business meetings. We can provide a whole range of catering options for you and Wi-fi and digital projectors are available for trainers. We also have a dedicated IT suite with 12 Windows 10 PCs. Our programme of heritage events continues through the year with guided walks, talks at Allendale House and visits to interesting and unusual places. We also organise the county-wide Dorset Architectural Heritage Week event every September, so why not pick up a brochure to see what else is on offer? Please drop in anytime and the friendly, helpful staff will be happy help you with what you are looking for, or to simply show you around the beautiful historic building.
