Deans Court Accomodation

Staying on the Deans Court Estate

Deans Court offers a variety of venues for holidays, family celebrations and wedding parties – or any get-together where you may need to sleep from 2 to 30 people.

Our accommodation includes two rustic C18th cottages enjoying unspoilt views across the Stour valley  – Apple Cottage (sleeps 6), Plum Cottage (sleeps 4 inside, with 2 more in the Shepherd’s Hut), and just outside our main entrance, the 7-bedroom Gate House (sleeps 16). From May to September guests can enjoy tranquil fly-fishing on our chalk stream, and even stay in the off-grid fishing shack by the river (sleeps 2).

Guests can take advantage of the ‘local’ lifestyle on the estate. Eggs from our nearby chickens, flowers and fresh organic fruit & veg from the historic walled garden, logs from the estate woodlands are supplied for the wood-burners and if the season is right, apple juice pressed from our own apples.

Any stay would not be complete without a visit to our Cafe & Homestore. Browse the shop, relax with a coffee or deliciously healthy salads and quiches made with produce from the walled kitchen garden – you simply can’t get a better taste of Deans Court than that!

Dean Court lies on the edge of Wimborne Minster, an ancient market town with plenty of attractions. While only two hours from London, Wimborne is a gateway to the county of Dorset with its outstandingly beautiful countryside, as well as the famous Jurassic Coast.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

  • I cannot thank Jonathan and all the staff at Deans Court enough. We held our wedding here earlier this month and it was a delight. This truely is a hidden gem in Wimborne. Jonathan was always so professional and so communicative. The grounds are beautiful. Everything went so smoothly and completely stress free, which is what you need on your wedding day. I cannot recommend this place and its wonderful staff enough to help you with the planning and hosting of your wedding day.

  • It's the most amazing place to stay, quiet, great service, lovely gift pack on arrival, just great personal things, and in my home town. Book through Jonathan - he's truly terrific to deal with. Coming from Australia it was just a beautiful place in the market town of Wimborne.

  • We stayed in plum cottage for a weekend in September and we had a wonderful time. The cottage had everything we needed. We arrived to find some stunning flowers and we ordered the veg box which included veg and herbs. We cooked most of it. Beautiful views of fields out the back and a lovely wood burner. Fantastic to be so close to town and amenities but it felt very peaceful. My brother stayed in the shepherds hut which had a wood burner and heater and was very cosy. Fabulous!
