On 21 August, Lester Brunt team member Ben, alongside friends Benjy and Archie, took on the demanding challenge of climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours.
The trio scaled Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, covering 26 miles (42km) on foot and ascending a remarkable 3,064 metres (10,052ft). Between peaks, the team travelled 462 miles, completing the challenge in an outstanding time of 22 hours and 34 minutes.
The achievement was made possible with the support of Carey, who took on the equally demanding role of driver. Over the course of the weekend, Carey covered approximately 1,600 miles, ensuring the team reached each mountain and returned home safely after the final climb.
Most importantly, the challenge raised £1,635 for Dementia UK, helping the charity continue its vital work supporting families affected by dementia.
Martin Brunt, Founding Principal Partner at Lester Brunt Wealth Management, said: “We are incredibly proud of Ben, Benjy, Archie and Carey for taking on such an ambitious challenge for a cause that means so much to many people. To complete the National Three Peaks Challenge in less than 24 hours is an outstanding achievement in itself, but to raise more than £1,600 for Dementia UK makes it even more special. Their determination, teamwork and commitment have been truly inspiring.”
The team thanked everyone who supported their efforts through donations and words of encouragement.
Their achievement not only demonstrated remarkable endurance and teamwork but also raised valuable funds for a charity dedicated to supporting people living with dementia and their families across the UK.
