Love Local This Valentines Weekend

Wimborne BID gave out valentine’s day cards and other goodies on Saturday, 12th February as a thank you to shoppers for loving local.

From 12 noon in Wimborne Square, the BID Team was joined by a dedicated team of volunteers from the Dorset Volunteer Programme. The BID Team gave out more than 200 valentines cards, each inside a specially designed tote bag with a money off voucher and some special small gifts including pens, roses, sweets and bottle openers.

BID Manager, Tammy Sleet, said, “The last two years have been a particularly challenging time for all businesses, but in Wimborne we’ve enjoyed the unwavering support of our communities. We wanted to say thank you on behalf of all of Wimborne’s businesses with a small gift and coupons from businesses themselves.”

When the BID Team put out a call to businesses, they were astonished by the response. “We had over 200 vouchers donated by businesses from all sorts of sectors” Tammy said, “We want to thank all of Wimborne’s businesses, who so wholeheartedly participate in our initiatives.”

The BID Team is now looking ahead to April, and Discover Wimborne. During April businesses are organising events, offers or competitions to help you Discover Wimborne!
